New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video is going viral on social media featuring thousands of people dancing on the streets, with users claiming that it depicts the celebration of Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai.
Vishvas News’ investigation revealed that the viral video is from a festival in Spain and is being falsely linked to Mumbai’s Ganpati festival.
The Facebook user shared the viral post with the caption, “Unbelievable scene at Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati …. Mumbai.”

We started our investigation by searching the viral video through Google Lens and we found frames of this video uploaded on many social media platforms and news websites. A frame of this video was found in a photo gallery on The Guardian’s website, uploaded on July 12, 2024. According to the details provided, the video is from the opening ceremony of the San Fermin Bulls Festival in Pamplona, Spain, where the Pamplona Municipal Music Band performed.
Continuing our investigation, we found the full video of the same event on a YouTube channel named ‘San Fermines Pamplona’.
This video has previously gone viral with a misleading claim about the Palestine-Israel conflict. At that time, Spanish journalist David Fernandez confirmed that the video was from the opening ceremony of the Bulls Fight Ceremony in Spain.
We then conducted a social media scan of the Facebook user who shared the fake post and found that the user is from Andhra Pradesh.
