New Delhi Vishvas News – After the results of the assembly elections in five states, including Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, a series of political meetings are currently underway to designate the next Chief Ministers. Amid this, a circulating video on social media alleges that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has proclaimed Baba Balaknath as the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan.

Upon investigation, Vishvas News has determined that this claim is misleading. The viral video featuring Yogi Adityanath, where he purportedly declares Baba Balaknath as the upcoming Chief Minister of Rajasthan, is footage from a pre-election campaign conducted in his favour. As of the time of writing this report, following the election results, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan has not officially disclosed its Chief Ministerial face.

What’s going viral?

While sharing the viral video, social media user ‘Naresh Shahu‘ wrote, “Yogi Adityanath ji has announced the new Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Balaknath Yogi ji is the new CM of Rajasthan”. Many other users on social media have shared this video clip with similar claims.

Investigation:

The results of the assembly elections in five states, including Rajasthan, have been declared. According to information available on the Election Commission website, out of a total of 199 assembly seats, the BJP has secured victory in 115 seats, while the Congress has won 69 seats. News reports indicate that a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s legislative party is anticipated to take place in Rajasthan today, where discussions about the proposed Chief Minister’s name are expected.

As of now, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan has not been officially announced. A viral video clip featuring Yogi Adityanath has surfaced, where he is heard saying, “…And I will tell Baba Balaknath ji that after taking the oath in Jaipur, post-January 22, he must visit Ayodhya with the Ram devotees of Tijara. We will oversee the arrangements in Ayodhya. Do you all agree?”

Claims circulating about this video suggest that Yogi has declared Baba Balaknath as the next Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Upon investigation, it was found that this video was uploaded approximately two weeks ago on a YouTube channel named “Pyara Hindustan.” The information provided states, “Yogi Adityanath addressed a massive rally in Tijara, Rajasthan, in support of Baba Balaknath.”

During the same rally, he referred to the Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, stating, “…you tell me one thing, on January 22, 2024, in Ayodhya, after 500 years, Prime Minister Modi ji will consecrate Ram Lalla by enshrining him in Ram Janmabhoomi. The auspicious program will be completed.” He asked the audience, “…how many of you want to go to Ayodhya. How many people are interested? The entire treasury seems keen to go to Ayodhya.” Subsequently, he urged people to vote in support of Baba Balaknath and mentioned, “…and I will also tell Baba Balaknath ji that after taking oath in Jaipur, post-January 22, he must come to Ayodhya with the Ram devotees of Tijara. We will take care of the arrangements for Ayodhya.”

It’s important to note that the viral clip is from a rally in Tijara on November 22, which occurred before the elections. Voting for the Rajasthan Assembly elections took place on November 25, with the results announced on December 3.

To verify the authenticity of the viral video clip, we reached out to Dainik Jagran correspondent Narendra Sharma in Jaipur, who confirmed that the BJP has not officially announced the name of the Chief Minister yet. The individual who shared the viral video clip with false claims is followed by approximately 5,000 people on Facebook.
