New Delhi Vishvas News – Certain images are circulating on social media, accompanied by the claims that they represent the official pictures documenting the construction of the Egyptian pyramid, built in 2600 BC. However, Vishvas News, in its investigation, has determined that the post is misleading. The images associated with it are not authentic pictures of the construction but rather artificially generated using AI. For additional fact-check reports on similar viral photos created through AI tools, refer to the AI Check section on the Vishvas News website.

What’s going viral?

Social media user ‘Mostafa M. Elgazzar‘ shared the viral photo and wrote, “Official photos taken during the construction of the Great Pyramids in Egypt, 2600 BC JC IT WAS NOT ALIENS.” Many other users on different social media platforms have shared these pictures with similar claims.

Investigation:

The viral post features four photographs, and the visuals depicted in these images appear strange. Despite conducting a reverse image search, we were unable to locate any official source for these pictures. Furthermore, the claim that the viral pictures date back to 2600 BC contradicts historical facts.

It’s worth noting that photography was only invented in the 19th century, whereas the viral post alleges events from 2600 BC. According to information available on the nationalgeographic.com website, the construction of the three pyramids of Giza took place between 2550 and 2490 BC.

The clarity and unusual nature of the visuals in the pictures strongly suggest artificial intelligence (AI) creation. Using a tool designed to identify pictures generated by AI, we tested all three images, revealing a 99.9% probability that they were AI-created. To further validate this likelihood, we employed an additional tool, which again confirmed a probability exceeding 99 percent that the photos were AI-generated.

Our investigation conclusively establishes that the images circulating as official pictures of the pyramid’s construction in Egypt are, in fact, AI-generated.

In relation to the viral photos, we reached out to Abhijeet Parashar, an expert in AI and machine learning. He affirmed that these pictures were indeed created using AI tools. Notably, the individual who shared the viral picture with a misleading claim identifies as an Egyptian in his profile.

Conclusion: The viral post claiming that the shared photos were official pictures of the construction of the Egyptian pyramids are not authentic depictions of the actual construction, instead, these images are generated with the help of AI tools.
