New Delhi (Vishvas News): A graphics circulating on social media show the list of some foods. The graphics also has the logo of World Health Organization and it purports to show that the list has been released by the WHO.
Vishvas News investigated and found the viral post to be fake. WHO has not released any such list or advisory as of July 6, 2021.
A graphics shared on Facebook by a user named MH AY bears the WHO logo and reads: “Top 10 killer foods / 8 found in the Philippines / french fries / burger / ice cream / iced tea / chippy-red / doughnut /pancit canton / sweetened pork“.

Vishvas News started its investigation by searching the viral list on WHO’s website and social media handles. We did not find any such list there.
However, we did find a tweet by World Health Organization (WHO) Western Pacific Twitter handle that debunked the claim stating: “WHO has never declared a list of 10 killer foods. We do encourage a healthy diet & you can read more here http://goo.gl/gfkos3
As per some advisories on the website of World Health Organization, WHO encourages people to follow a healthy diet promoting safe food handling. Read here.
Vishvas News contacted WHO spokesperson and she also stated that the viral claim is fake and WHO has not released any such graphics.
The post is shared on Facebook by a user named MH AY. When we scanned the profile of the user we found that the user is based out of Philippines.
