New Delhi (Vishvas News).
A video of Mukesh and Anant Ambani is going viral on social media, where users are falsely linking it to Ratan Tata’s funeral. Social media users are claiming that the video features the Ambanis attending Tata’s last rites.

In its investigation, Vishvas News found that the claim about the video was fake. The video is not of Ratan Tata’s last darshan but of the Ganpati festival. This video is from when Mukesh Ambani visited Lalbaug Raja’s Ganpati with his family.

What is going viral?

Instagram user ‘Bollywoodmuskan’ shared the video on October 10, 2024, with the caption, “Mukesh Ambani arrives to pay his last respects to Ratan Tata.”

Investigation

In the video, Mukesh Ambani is seen laughing and smiling, which raised doubts about the authenticity of the claim, as it’s unlikely he would react this way in such a somber situation.

To verify the authenticity of the viral claim, we used the Invid tool to extract the keyframes from the video and conducted a Google reverse image search. We found a relevant report on Aaj Tak’s website, published on September 14, 2024. According to the report, the viral video is from Mukesh Ambani’s visit to Lalbaugcha Raja for Ganpati Darshan, where he was accompanied by Anant and Radhika Ambani.

Using the information received, we conducted a Google search with relevant keywords and found a longer version of the viral video on Zoom’s official YouTube channel. The video, uploaded on September 14, 2024, shows Mukesh Ambani visiting Lalbaug’s Raja Ganpati with his family.

We found the viral video shared on Filmyape’s Facebook page on September 14, 2024, with the same information. Other videos can be seen here.

For more information, we contacted Mid-Day’s senior reporter, Samiullah Khan, who confirmed that the viral claim is false. He stated that the video shows Mukesh Ambani visiting Lalbaug Raja’s Ganpati with his family.

During our investigation, we also found a video on Aaj Tak’s official YouTube channel, uploaded on October 10, 2024, when Mukesh Ambani and his family paid tribute to Ratan Tata.

Finally, we scanned the account of the user who shared the viral video with the false claim. The account has around 69000 followers and primarily shares posts related to Bollywood.

Conclusion: Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the claim about Mukesh Ambani’s viral video is false. The video is not from Ratan Tata’s last rites, but from the Ganpati festival when Mukesh Ambani visited Lalbaug Raja’s Ganpati with his family.
