Investigation

To investigate the viral image, Vishvas News used the Google reverse image search tool. We found the same image on Getty Images. However, upon close examination, it was evident that the man featured in the image was not Satyajit Ray; it was the renowned Hollywood actor Sean Connery. The accompanying description read, “1964: Actor Sean Connery poses as James Bond next to his Aston Martin DB5 in a scene from the United Artists release ‘Goldfinger’ in 1964. Upon further probing, we found the same photograph of Sean Connery in a photo gallery on theguardian.com. The photo caption read, “Connery with Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 in Goldfinger, 1964.”
