New Delhi (Vishvas News): Once again a fake message in the name of free recharge is going viral on social media. It is being claimed that in the joy of having record vaccination, Jio, Airtel, and Vi SIM subscribers are being given 3 months of recharge for free. Vishvas News investigated the viral post and found it to be fake.
Claim
Facebook user Siraji Yash shared a post on October 11, claiming: ‘In the joy of record vaccination in the country, free 3 months recharge is being given to all Indian users*. If you have Jio, Airtel or Vi SIM then you can take advantage of this offer. Note: Click on the link given below to get your free recharge. PLEASE NOTE: THIS OFFER IS LIMITED ONLY ON 15 OCTOBER 2021! Hurry up..!’

Investigation
Vishvas News first took the help of Google search to know the truth of the viral post. We wanted to know whether telcos are offering fee recharge to their consumers in the country on record vaccinations.
On searching with related keywords, we could not find any news that could confirm the veracity of the viral post.
During the search itself, we found a report published on the website of Dainik Jagran on April 22, 2021. In the news, a viral post by the Cellular Operators Association of India with free recharge for three months was said to be fake. You can read the full news of Jagran.com by clicking here.
During the investigation, we clicked on the link given with the message. We did not get any specific information from here.
Vishvas News got in touch with the spokesperson of the Reliance company. He told us that the viral post is completely false. No such offer is being made from our side.
Vishvas News scanned the profile of the Facebook user Siraj who shared the viral post. We found that the user is associated with Yash Hotel Industry. We could not find more information on his account than this.
