The viral tweet turned out to be fake in the investigation of Vishvas News. This tweet was falsely attributed to Rahul Gandhi.
Facebook user Ganga Bhaiya Hindu posted a fake tweet in the name of Rahul Gandhi on August 10 writing: What will it be called now?
In the tweet, using the picture of Rahul Gandhi, it was written: ‘Standing at second position even after coming first, is this justified? Give answer Modi ji.”

Vishvas News started its investigation by scanning the verified Twitter handle of Rahul Gandhi. Here we did not find any such tweet which is going viral.
The date of August 5 is being shown in the viral tweet. We searched and found that there was only one tweet by Rahul Gandhi on August 5 about the Olympics, in which he was congratulating Ravi Dahiya. Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in the Olympics on August 7th, while the date of August 5th is written in the viral tweet.
Vishvas News contacted Pranav Jha, National secretary and co-in-charge of the media department of Congress Pranav Jha. He also said that the viral tweet is fake.
We scanned the profile of the Facebook user Ganga Bhaiya Hindu who shared the viral post. We found that the user has more than 200 friends.
