Investigation:

Vishvas News started its investigation with Google keyword search and checked if there is any such scheme that’s offering to pay a sum of Rs 5000 to the people who have taken Covid-19 vaccine.

We did not find any credible news website had carried the report about the same.

We also checked the government portals if there was a mention of such kind of a scheme.

Meanwhile, we also checked the website mentioned in the post.

The website asked us to apply and asked a few details, such as name, address, which vaccine was taken, in the next stage the form asked for the mode through which we would receive the money.
And then in the end, the portal asked us to share the form through WhatsApp to at least five people.

By now, it was clear that the form was fake, since no government portal will ask to share a form through WhatsApp.

In the next step of investigation we connected with Ameya Vishwaroop who is a former head of Prachar Prasar of Pradhan Mantri Jan Kalyankari Yojana and currently the Nagpur head of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan. He informed that the post is fake, government has not launched any scheme to provide those who had taken Covid vaccine a sum of 5000 Rs. He also asked people to not provide their personal details on such forms.

In the last step of investigation we did a background check of the user who shared the post. Arun Shrama has 14 followers and is active since 2014.

Conclusion: Pradhan Mantri Jan Kalyan Vibhag is not giving 5000 Rs to those who have taken vaccine, viral claim is fake
