Hyderabad (Vishvas News): Amid rising cases of corona virus, a screenshot of a TV channel showing KCR at Yashoda Hospital is going viral with the claim that Chief Minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekar Rao is getting “treatment at Yashoda Hospital for fever, cold, cough.” With this post, the user is trying to convey these images as latest, spreading rumors about the CM’s health.
Vishvas News investigated this post and found that this claim is wrong. The TV channels screenshots are old. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is in good health right now.
Claim:
Facebook page ‘ ఐరావతం-Airavatam‘ posted screenshots of a TV channel on July 8. The screenshots show breaking plate, suggesting that “Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is getting treatment at Yashoda Hospital for fever, cold, cough.” These screenshots are of Telugu News channel HMTV.

Investigation:
We searched about the health of KCR on his social media handles and other authentic media websites. Nowhere did we find any news about his bad health. To confirm, we called the CMO and we were told that CM is in good health.
Now we elaborated our search. We searched on Google with keywords ‘KCR treatment at Yashoda Hospital.’ With this keyword search, we came across a lot of results. Many media outlets and web portals had reported about KCR getting treated in January this year at Yashoda Hospital for cold and fever. We also found this news on HMTV’s Youtube channel. This video was uploaded on Jan 21, 2020. According to the description, KCR was admitted to the Yashoda hospital with a minor illness and given treatment.
However, for more clarity on this viral post, we spoke to HMTV reporter Rajesh. His photo can be seen in viral post where he is doing a phono from the Hospital. Rajesh, who reported the KCR illness over the phone, said “the incident took place on January 21 this year and the current propaganda around CM’s health in the wake of the corona virus outbreak is untrue.”
Vishvas News scanned the profile of the Facebook page “ఐరావతం-Airavatam” which uploaded this viral post. 1695 people are following this page. The viral post has been shared by 192 people until the publishing of this post.
Conclusion: Vishvas News investigated this post and found that this claim is wrong. The TV channels screenshots are old. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is in good health right now.
