New Delhi (Vishvas News). An altered video is going viral on social media as a clip from Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC), where a question targeting Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was asked. In this video clip, KBC host Amitabh Bachchan was shown asking a question of Rs 20,000 to the contestant. The question was, “Which of these Chief Ministers is called an announcement machine because of his false announcements?” The contestant answers this as option B, Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Vishvas News, in its investigation, found that the viral video clip has been edited. The original question asked in KBC has been edited to change it to the one in the viral video. The original question was not on the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister. Besides this, the voice mimicking Amitabh Bachchan, has also been added separately.

Investigation

Vishvas News started the investigation with a YouTube search. On searching with keywords, we found a viral video of a contestant from KBC India’s YouTube channel. It was uploaded eight months ago. In this video, the name of the contestant was mentioned as Bhupendra Chaudhary. He is a resident of Khurai in Madhya Pradesh.

The footage containing the viral video can be seen from 18:50 seconds onwards in the video. But in this video, the question for Rs 20,000 was not asked about politics, but about a film.

Amitabh Bachchan had asked Bhupendra, “Which of these films is not about a player?” For this, he was given options, A – Saina, B – Piku, C – Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, D – Well Done Mitthu.

During the search, we found news related to the video on the October 9 edition of Dainik Jagran. It was reported that an FIR has been registered against Congress leader KK Mishra for posting a fake video about Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on social media platform X.

During investigation, a video of Bhupendra Chaudhary was found on the Facebook page named ‘Jan Sampark Fact Check of Madhya Pradesh’. In the video, he can be heard refuting the viral video.

Taking the investigation forward, Vishvas News contacted Sadguru Sharan Awasthi, Naidunia Editor, Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh. He called the viral post fake.

BJP state spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi said that some people are sharing fake viral videos to tarnish the image of the Chief Minister. This video is completely fake.

At the end of the investigation, the page sharing the fake post was investigated. This page was found to be associated with a political party.
