New Delhi (Visvas News). A viral post on social media about Prime Minister Narendra Modi has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expanded the Margdarshak Mandal and included Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh in it. Modi is serving his third consecutive term as prime minister in the new government while Singh too retained his previous portfolio of Defence.
Vishvas News, in its investigation found this claim to be misleading. Modi and Singh have been a part of the BJP’s Margdarshak Mandal (Guidance Board) since 2014. In 2014, the then BJP President Amit Shah had announced the inclusion of Narendra Modi and Rajnath Singh in it to guide the party’s activities. Apart from them, the other three members included senior leaders Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi. The three had been party presidents in the past.
