The video depicting an auto overturning due to a fight between stray cattle is from Balotra, Rajasthan, and has no connection to Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi Vishvas News – The opposition has targeted the Uttar Pradesh government multiple times regarding the issue of stray animals. Now, a video depicting a fight between stray cattle has gone viral on social media. In the video, an auto overturns due to a confrontation between two bulls, with the driver also present in the vehicle. Some social media users are using this video to criticise the Uttar Pradesh government.

Upon investigation by Vishvas News, it was discovered that this incident actually took place in the Balotra district of Rajasthan, and it is not related to Uttar Pradesh at all. By sharing a video from Rajasthan, users are mistakenly directing their criticism towards the Uttar Pradesh government.

What’s going viral?

A Facebook user named ‘Ajay Yadav’ shared a 27-second video on August 20, captioning it, “Today’s Special ‘Saand Samachar’: Clash between Bull and Tempo! Today’s ‘Saand Vichar’: UP Tourism can now promote such videos worldwide and invite ‘adventure-seeking tourists’ to UP.” SP National President Akhilesh Yadav (archive link) also shared this video, using it to make a sarcastic comment about the UP government.

Investigation

To investigate the viral video, we initiated a Google search using relevant keywords. The news about this incident was reported seven days ago on the Dainik Bhaskar website. The viral video can also be found there. According to the news report, “The viral video is from Bhairu Bazar in Balotra. On August 14 (Monday) afternoon, two bulls engaged in a fight in the Bhairu market. This attracted a crowd of onlookers. In the midst of this, traders asked the auto driver, Moinuddin, to intervene and stop the bullfight. As a result, he reversed the auto, which led to the halt of the fight. However, after a while, the bulls resumed their fight. During this time, one bull collided with the auto, causing it to overturn. Bystanders managed to pull out the driver, and he remained unhurt.”

The video news related to this incident can also be found on Daily Motion on August 14. Even the news uploaded by One India Hindi attributes the viral video to Balotra. An Instagram user with the handle ‘aapuvideos96gmail‘ uploaded the video on August 14 and credited it to Balotra.

For further clarification, we contacted Vikas Mali, the owner of Balotra News Track, which operates a local news network in Balotra. According to him, “This video dates back to before August 15. Balotra is a district located in Rajasthan. The auto driver attempted to intervene in the bullfight taking place in the main market. As a result, the bull overturned his auto. This incident is unrelated to Uttar Pradesh.”

Finally, we analysed the profile of the Facebook user who shared the video with the misleading claim. According to our findings, this user resides in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh, and has approximately 5,000 followers. His actions seem to be influenced by a particular ideology.

Conclusion: The video depicting an auto overturning due to a fight between stray cattle is from Balotra, Rajasthan, and has no connection to Uttar Pradesh.
