Investigation:

To know the truth of the viral claim, we searched on Google with various keywords, but we could not find any credible media report related to the viral claim.

We extracted several keyframes of the video and searched them through Google reverse image. Meanwhile, we found the original video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of News18 Urdu. The video was shared on October 26, 2022. According to the information given, the viral video is of a rally held in Bijapur, Karnataka.

Before the municipal elections in Karnataka, he had arrived to address the rally. In the video, he can be heard speaking about the election and anti-Muslim campaign. After watching the video, we found that he does not sing bhajan anywhere in this video. The audio has been added to the video later.

To know the reality behind the second video, we started searching on Google with related keywords and again found the original video uploaded on the official YouTube channel of News18 Urdu. The video was shared on October 14, 2022. In the original video, he is seen reciting the sher, and not the bhajan.

We contacted AIMIM spokesperson Mohd Salman for more details. He said the viral claim was false. Opposition parties are deliberately editing and sharing the video in such a way that they can tarnish Owaisi’s image.
