New Delhi ( Vishvas News). A viral post with a link claims Adidas is giving away 1 million pair of shoes free of cost as Women’s Day gift.
Vishvas News investigation revealed the claim is fake. Adidas refuted the claims of giving any such offer.
Claim
A viral post with a link allegedly from Adidas claims the company giving away 1 million pairs of shoes as Women’s Day gift. Many users have tweeted this link raising doubts about its authenticity.

Investigation
We followed the link as part of investigation. It directed us to a page for participating in a luck draw, where the user is asked to click a shoe box out of 9 boxes. On clicking the box, a pop up congratulates for choosing right and alleges that they will be delivered within 5-7 days. It further insists to share it with 5 groups or 20 friends on what’s app.
We could identify the website address was different from the official Adidas website.
In the run-up to International Women’s Day, global sportswear giant Adidas has launched Watch Us Move – a campaign to celebrate womanhood and their freedom of movement, states an article in the Indiatelevision.com. While we found articles about their campaign, we didn’t find authentic sources confirming the claim on offering shoes free of cost.
Vishvas News contacted Adidas via email for verification. “We would like to inform you that we are not running any such kind of offer, hence kindly ignore the message,” stated the mail from Adidas.
Conclusion: The viral post is fake. Adidas is not giving away shoes ahead as Women’s Day gift.
