New Delhi (Vishvas News): Seema Haider, who illegally reached India with her children from Pakistan after falling in love through PUBG, is making headlines these days. Vishvas News’ tipline number has received multiple requests from users sharing a collage of Seema Haider and another woman, claiming that Seema Haider has served in the Pakistan Army. The woman seen in the viral collage is wearing the uniform of the Pakistani Army.
Vishvas News conducted an investigation and found this claim to be false. A picture of Pakistan Army officer Major Samia Rehman is being claimed to be of Seema Haider in the viral post. Major Rehman has been involved in peacekeeping operations in several countries around the world as part of the United Nations peacekeeping force from Pakistan. Her tenure as a UN peacekeeper ended in 2020.

Investigation
The viral collage shows a woman in army uniform alongside Seema Haider. We conducted a reverse image search to find the original source of the picture. During the search, we found this picture in a report on the Pakistani website ostpk.com, published on January 16, 2022. According to the information provided, the picture is of Pakistani Major Samia Rehman. Her photos in military uniform can also be seen in several other reports.
Further search led us to a video uploaded on a YouTube channel named ‘Pakilinks News’ about a year ago, where the same picture was shared. According to the information provided, the picture is of Major Samia Rehman, who served in the United Nations.
By looking at Samia Rehman’s pictures, it is evident that she and Seema Haider are two different individuals. This can be clearly observed in the collage shown below.
Using the keywords ‘Major Samia Rehman’ in our search, we found a report published on thenews.com.pk dated May 12, 2020. According to the report, Pakistan’s award-winning Major Samia Rehman could not return home due to Covid-19 after completing her tenure with the UN peacekeeping force. She was stationed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo as part of her last mission with the United Nations peacekeeping force.
The official Twitter handle of UN Peacekeeping also confirmed the end of her tenure on April 6, 2020.
We contacted Pakistani journalist and fact-checker Lubna Zarar Naqvi regarding the viral picture. She confirmed that the woman in the army uniform seen in the viral photo is Pakistani military officer Samia Rehman. She added, “Samia Rehman gained fame due to her campaigns with the UN peacekeeping force, and her tenure at the UN ended in 2020.”
According to a report in Jagran, “Seema Haider from Karachi, Pakistan, came in contact with Sachin, a resident of Rabupura, while playing an online PUBG game. Both used to play games the whole night. During this they fell in love. Seema Haider came to Rabupura on May 13 after crossing the Indian border with her four children. She first travelled from Pakistan to Dubai and then entered India via Nepal without a visa. The police arrested Seema Haider and Sachin on July 5, after she had stayed in India for about one-and-a-half months. After getting bail from the court, both were living in Rabupura.”
