New Delhi (Vishvas Team). A picture of an alleged statement by Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on the Hathras incident accused Thakur is recently viral on social media. The quote attributed to Yogi states, Thakurs blood is hot, so Thakurs make mistakes.
Vishvas News investigation revealed the claim is fake. The viral picture of the graphic plate is tampered. Yogi Adityanath has not made any such statement.
Facebook user طلحہ بن مقیب (Talha bin Mukib) shared a picture of graphic news plate on October 4 that attributes a quote to UP CM Yogi Adityanath. The caption reads, “”#Adityanath says that the blood of Thakurs is hot, so Thakurs make mistakes… The archived version of the Facebook post can be seen here.
We observed the viral graphic plate carefully. We could identify that it was allegedly from Hindi news channel Aaj Tak. The breaking news plate of any news channel has its own design and style in which the font in general has uniformity. However in this viral plate, we could identify that different types of font has been used.
We searched on Aaj Tak’s Twitter for further investigation. A video bulletin uploaded on Aaj Tak’s Twitter handle on 2 October has a breaking news plate similar to the viral picture. The original bulletin did not have any such statement as in the viral post. We could confirm that the viral breaking plate has been tampered. The difference between the original graphic plate and the viral picture can be seen below.
We also found a tweet on Aaj Tak’s Twitter handle on October 3, 2020 that has alerted about the viral graphic plate confirming that Aaj Tak did not broadcast any such news.
We also scanned Yogi Adityanath’s twitter for verification. We did not find any statement as in the post. We could confirm that Adityanath has not given any such statement about Thakurs.
We contacted Rajdeep Sardesai, senior journalist of Aaj Tak to verify the graphic plate. Sardesai said that this breaking plate is fake.
Social scanning of the Facebook user who shared the viral post revealed that he is a resident of Hyderabad and has 1,269 followers on Facebook.
Conclusion: The viral claim is fake. This graphic plate in the post is edited. CM Yogi Adityanath has not made any such statement.
