New Delhi (Vishvas News). A picture of lawyer Seema Kushwaha, who fought the Nirbhaya case, is being shared on social media claiming that she has been included in the list of the six most talented women in the world. The viral claim turned out to be false in the investigation of Vishvas News. Seema Samridhi Kushwaha has not been included in any such list. In fact, no such list has been released by any reputed institute or organization.

What Is Going Viral?

Facebook user Awaaz Bihar Ki has shared the viral post. The claim reads, “Hearty congratulations Seema Samridhi Kushwaha, the legal counsel for Nirbhaya rape victim, is featured in the list of ‘world’s 6 most talented women”.

Investigation –

To know the truth of the viral claim, we searched on Google using several keywords, but we could not find any credible media report related to the viral claim. We found that every year news outlets such as BBC, Time, and Forbes publish lists of the most powerful women, the ‘100 Women of the Year’, the richest people, and the most beautiful people. But no such list, as mentioned in the viral post, has been released by any reputed institute or organization.

Taking the investigation further, we started scanning the social media accounts of Seema Kushwaha, but we could not find any post related to the viral claim here either.

For more information, we contacted Seema Kushwaha. She told us, “I haven’t got any such title in the recent past. I received the ‘Beauty With Brain Global Awards’ and ‘Excellence in Women Empowerment’ certificate in the year 2021. I was placed in the second position on the list of Excellence in Women Empowerment. This certificate was provided to me by www.republicofwomen.org. This event could not be held physically due to Corona Virus. That’s why these certificates were given to me through online mail.”

Vishvas News, in the last phase of the investigation, conducted a background check on the profile that shared the viral post. We found that 940 people follow the user. This page has been active since 23rd May 2020.

Conclusion: The viral claim turned out to be false in the investigation of Vishvas News. Seema Samridhi Kushwaha has not been included in any such list, as claimed in the viral post. In fact, no such list has been released by any reputed institute or organization.
