Fact Check: Ambani did not give any such statement, tweet from fake account viral

New Delhi (Vishvas News). A screenshot of a tweet by Mukesh Ambani is viral on Facebook, in which it says, “There is no shortage of employment in the country, but only those who consider government jobs as employment will suffer from mindless unemployment till the end of life.” 

Vishvas News investigation revealed the tweet is fake. The twitter account that posted the tweet is not of Mukesh Ambani. He has no social media accounts.

Claim

The screenshot of a tweet allegedly from Mukesh Ambani is viral on Facebbok. The tweet reads, “There is no shortage of employment in the country, but people who consider government jobs as employment only, will suffer from mindless unemployment till the end of life.”

Investigation

We searched on the Internet using keywords (MukeshAmbani, Unemployment, Govt Jobs). We did not find any authentic report that confirmed any such statement by RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani.

In the viral post, the Twitter handle was named @i_MukeshAmbani . We scanned this profile on twitter and found that it was not a verified account. We did not find any blue tick as in case of other famous personalities. The profile photo had Ambani’s picture and cover photo had his picture along with his wife Neeta Ambani. The profile decryption reads “Business tycoon”.

Vishvas News contacted Reliance spokesperson to know the genuineness of this Twitter profile.  “This is a fake account created in the name of Mukesh Ambani. Mukesh Ambani is not present on social media. Mukesh Ambani has not given any such statement,” the spokesperson told us on call.

This fake Twitter handle was created in August 2020 and has 7,108 followers.
