Fact Check: Actor Dharmendra is alive, rumor about his death is fake

New Delhi (Vishvas News): Rumours about Bollywood actor Dharmendra’s death are going viral on social media. Posting the picture of Dharmendra, users are claiming that Dharmendra has passed away. Vishvas News in its investigation found that this claim is false. Dharmendra is completely healthy. The post going viral about his death is fake. Till the time we wrote this report, we did not get any news of Dharmendra’s death.

Claim :

Facebook page “Siasat Bhadod Ki” (Archive Version) shared the post on June 19 and wrote, “Rip#Dharmendra, the son of Punjab have said goodbye to this mortal world,May he find peace at Waheguru’s feet.”

Investigation :

To know the truth of this rumor, Vishvas News first took the help of Google search. We searched on Google using several keywords. But, we could not find any such news of actor Dharmendra’s demise anywhere as claimed in the viral post. Dharmendra is a very big personality and if such news had come about him, it would have been in the media. According to some media reports, his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol denied these reports.

Taking the investigation further, Vishvas News started scanning the social media accounts of actor Dharmendra. We found that Dharmendra is constantly active on his social media accounts. He is constantly sharing posts on his Twitter account.

Vishvas News got in touch with Smita Srivastava, Correspondent, Entertainment journalist of Dainik Jagran. She told Vishvas News that Dharmendra is absolutely fine and this post is wrong.

At the end of our investigation, we checked the page which shared this fake post. We found out that this page is followed by 554. And this page was created on 21st Aug 2020.
