Quick Fact Check: Fake post claiming harmful tablets contain tissue paper resurfaces

A video circulating on social media claims that low-quality tablets are opening up into a tissue paper and are available in the market. This video has resurfaced on social media. Vishvas News had earlier investigated that video and found that the tablets shown in the video are not for consumption as a medicine but it is actually the tissue paper packed in the form of tablets. We fact-checked and found that the viral claim is false.

Claim

The viral video on Facebook claims that the low-quality tablets are available in the market that opens up into a tissue paper.  The audio in the video describes that medicine’s composition is not written on the cover of the medicine. Neither there is a manufacturing date of the medicine nor there is an expiry date. Only the name of the medicine, Zota is mentioned. Here is the archived version of the viral post.
