Fact Check: Post By Parody Account Of Kareena Kapoor Shared With Misleading Claim

New Delhi Vishvas News – Vishvas News in its investigation found that the viral post was not made by Kareena Kapoor, but was posted through a parody account created in her name. The claim being made with this post is fake.

What’s In The Viral Post?

A Facebook user shared the screenshot of the X post which read, “Not soil, have to pick up a lump of soil in hand, and hit those who have spread hatred in the country..!!.”

Sharing the post, the user wrote in the caption, “Very good answer, I wish people would understand this much, then they will save the country from burning.”

Investigation

Starting our investigation, we first searched for the handle of the viral post @Karina_Kapoor__ on X and found this account. According to the information given in the bio, this fan page aka parody account was created in 2023. This page has 446 followers.

We also found the viral post (archive link) on this page, dated July 31.

We conducted a Google search to verify the statement given in the X post. We did not find any news related to this.

Vishvas News contacted senior entertainment journalist Parag Chhapekar for confirmation regarding the viral post. He told us that Kareena Kapoor is not on social media site X.

In social scanning of the Facebook user who shared the fake post, we found that a page named ‘Anita Bhartiya’ has 26,000 followers.
