In the video, actor Abhishek Bachchan can be seen coming down from the stage and dancing with his wife and actor Aishwarya Rai. Some users have shared the video, falsely claiming that it is from the recent IIFA Awards ceremony, where the two made a joint appearance.
Vishvas News found the viral claim to be false. The video is about two years old.
Sharing the viral video, a Facebook user ‘Jaya Jaiswal Jazz‘ wrote in the caption, “Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan enjoying IIFA Awards together.”
To know the truth behind the claim, we searched on Google with the help of relevant keywords. We found the viral video on the official YouTube channel of Tele MEK. The video was uploaded on June 22, 2022. According to the available information, Bachchan had performed at the IIFA Awards that year. The video is of the same dance performance.
During the investigation, we also found a longer version of the viral video on the official page of IIFA. The video was shared on June 24, 2022. According to the available information, the viral video is from IIFA held in 2022.
