Recently, a video has surfaced, claiming that TV actor Uorfi Javed visited Bageshwar Dham and received blessings from its chief pontiff Dhirendra Shastri.

Vishvas News found that this viral claim about Uorfi Javed’s visit to Bageshwar Dham is false. The viral video actually dates back to January 2023 when Uorfi Javed visited a gurudwara in Mumbai’s Andheri, where she appeared in traditional attire. Social media users have edited this video with other clips and are now sharing it with various false claims.

On July 4, 2023, Facebook user Govind Gupta (Archive) shared the viral video, asserting in the caption that Uorfi Javed visited Bageshwar Dham. The hashtags used in the post include #urfijavedvideo, #UrfiJavedNews, #bageshwardhamsarkar, #latestnewstoday, #explore, #foryou, and #newsviral.

Vishvas News Investigation:

To investigate the claim, Vishvas News initially conducted an open search on Google using relevant keywords to locate the viral video of TV actress Uorfi Javed visiting Bageshwar Dham. However, no credible news source confirmed Uorfi’s visit to Bageshwar Dham.

Taking the investigation further, Vishvas News performed a reverse image search of the video screenshot using Google Images. This led to a report about the original video on the ABP Live website. The news article, published on January 28, 2023, clarified that the viral video was recorded at a gurudwara, not Bageshwar Dham.

Another news report published on January 28, 2023, on the website of ‘News Nation TV’ also provided information about the viral video. According to the report, Uorfi Javed gained attention on social media for her unique outfits. On the mentioned date, she visited a gurudwara in Andheri, Mumbai, dressed in traditional attire. During her visit, a video captured her distributing prasad to the gurudwara’s visitors, which subsequently went viral on social media.

The viral video of Uorfi Javed can also be found on the verified Instagram account of ‘instantbollywood,’ shared on January 28, 2023.

Vishvas News reached out to Uorfi Javed for clarification. She confirmed that she had never been to Bageshwar Dham.

Bharat Sharma, Bureau Chief of Naiduniya’s Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh) edition, was also contacted for his input. He stated that no Bollywood actor had visited Bageshwar Dham, and if someone had, it would have been widely known.

In the past, Vishvas News has investigated similar fake claims about the visits of numerous famous personalities to Bageshwar Dham, which were widely circulated on social media.

After a thorough investigation, the user who shared the edited video with the false claim was identified. This individual is a resident of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, and has over 2,000 followers on Facebook.
