GNI: Google News Initiative supported Vishvas News in 2023 to organise the seventh edition of Sach Ke Sathi ‘Seniors’ media literacy campaign across 15 states and 50 cities of India.
Vishvas News is one of the third party fact-checking organizations for Meta. The third-party partners identify, rate and review such misleading content. If a fact-checker rates a piece of content as false, altered or partly false, Meta reduces its distribution to limit its reach. It also notifies users trying to share such content and adds a warning label linking to the fact-checker's article explaining the issue. Vishvas News identifies and evaluates misinformation circulating on Meta's platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and Threads.
Vishvas News is certified by the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN).
Vishvas News partnered the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur for its project “Misleading Data Predictor”.

The database unites more than 100 fact-checkers in 45 countries and includes articles published in at least 15 languages. Vishvas News is also part of the Fact Check database

Vishvas News conducted a year-long training programme for 20 journalists from 10 major Indian news organisations, selected as fellows, to equip them with the knowledge and skills required for fact-checking and news verification. The programme supported by the Internet and Mobile Association of India or IAMAI and Meta, ran from December 2021 and culminated with a day-long conference at the Meta office on November 30, 2022.
The 20 fellows were drawn from 10 shortlisted organisations: The Indian Express, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Asianet news, Manorama Online, Lokmat, Deccan Herald, Press Trust of India, Prajavani and Mathrubhumi.
