Fact Check: Claim Of Om Birla’s Daughter Marrying A Muslim Man Is Fake, Son-in-Law Aneesh Rajani Is A Sindhi Hindu

New Delhi (Vishvas News). Lok Sabha Speaker and BJP leader Om Birla’s daughter Anjali Birla got married to Aneesh Rajani on November 12 2024. Meanwhile, it is being claimed on social media that Om Birla’s son-in-law Aneesh Rajani is a Muslim. In the viral post, pictures and videos of their wedding are also being shared on different platforms with the fake claim.

Vishvas News found in its investigation that Anjali Birla has not married a Muslim man. Aneesh Rajani is a Sindhi Hindu and belongs to a business family in Kota. The claim of Aneesh Rajani being a Muslim is fake and baseless.

What is in the viral post?

Sharing the viral post, the Facebook user wrote, “For the rich, big officials, big politicians and big people, caste, religion and society do not matter for marriage and business. So stop hating in the name of religion, society and caste and earn money to improve the future of your children. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has got his daughter Anjali married to Anees Rajani…. What is the reason? All the anti-Muslim leaders in our country choose their sons-in-law Anees and Mukhtar…. Beware of such selfish and hate-mongering people.”

Investigation

According to the news, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s daughter Anjali got married on Tuesday in Kota, Rajasthan. His son-in-law Anish belongs to a reputed business family of Kota.

Starting our investigation, we searched about Anish Rajani. In the search, we found the frame of the viral video on the NBT website and according to the information given here, Aneesh is Sindhi Hindu and belongs to a business family.

We also found an X post by Hari Manjhi, BJP leader and former MP from Gaya, Bihar. Here he has shared the wedding card and rejecting the claims of Aneesh Rajani being a Muslim. In his post, he confirmed that Aneesh Rajani belongs to a Sindhi Hindu family of Kota.

We contacted BJP’s national spokesperson Dr Bijay Sonkar Shastri, who confirmed that the claim of Anjali Birla’s marriage to a Muslim man is wrong.

Finally, we scanned the Facebook profile of the user who shared the fake post and found that the user is quite active on Facebook and resides in Rajasthan.

Conclusion: Vishvas News’ investigation revealed that Anjali Birla is not married to a Muslim man, Aneesh Rajani is a Sindhi Hindu and belongs to a business family from Kota. The claim of Aneesh Rajani being a Muslim is fake and baseless.
