New Delhi (Vishvas News) – A post circulating on social media claims that comic actor Tiku Talsania has converted to Islam. The post includes a collage of two pictures. In the first image, Talsania can be seen with a tilak on his forehead, and in the second image, he can be seen wearing a skullcap and sporting a long beard. Vishvas News, in its investigation, found the claim to be false. The viral picture is actually a still from one of Tiku Talsania’s TV shows. He confirmed to Vishvas News that he has not changed his religion.

Facebook user Mohammad Junaid Ansari (Archive) shared a viral collage with the claim, “Bollywood’s famous comedian Tiku Talsania has accepted Islam.”
Investigation
Upon conducting an open search on Google with relevant keywords, Vishvas News found no credible news sources confirming Tiku Talsania’s conversion to Islam.
However, we found a few YouTube videos concluding that the viral post is fake and Talsania has not changed his religion.
Vishvas News reached out to Tiku Talsania for further clarification. He confirmed that the viral picture is of a character he portrayed in a serial for the BBC, and said that he has not changed his religion.
Vishvas News scanned the profile of Facebook user Mohammad Junaid Ansari, who originally shared the post. The user has approximately 7,000 followers and is based in Uttar Pradesh.
Conclusion: Vishvas News’ investigation confirmed that Tiku Talsania has not converted to Islam, and the viral claim is false.
