New Delhi (Vishvas News). A video is getting viral on social media, in which a pigeon can be seen saluting Russian President Putin. It is being claimed with the post that even pigeons salute Putin. In the investigation of Vishvas News, the viral video turned out to be edited. In the original video, Putin waves at the pigeon, but the pigeon does not salute back.

Facebook user Nikul Nikul B V (Archive) shared the viral video and wrote, “Kabutar ne kiya Putin ko salute”
Investigation
To know the truth of the viral claim, we searched the screenshots of this video on Google reverse image. We found the same video uploaded on June 2, 2017 on a YouTube channel named News Russia Ukraine Syria World. In this video, Putin waves at the pigeon, but the pigeon does not salute back.
We also found this video uploaded on 1st June 2017 on YouTube channel named Alexey аков. Here also the pigeon is not seen greeting Putin.
We have contacted some Russian journalists in this regard. This news will be updated as soon as their response is received.
The viral post was shared by a Facebook user named Nikul Nikul B V. The user has hidden his personal information.
